THE BLUEBELL WALK!
Start at Wesley Street Car Park, then go up the park to the top and turn right onto Banklands Lane (way marked). Go across the fields on the path to Drabble House Farm, into Hawber Lane. Go left up to Swartha Hamlet and pass by Swartha House Farm, then go through a stile on the right, down the side of the field and at the bottom go through stile then go left, then to the right over the stile leading into ”Fairy-Wood”. Tiptoe Through The Bluebells in season, down to the footbridge over the beck (Good picnic site) go over the bridge and up the path, keep the aqueduct on your right. At the top go over the stile, go on the path along the field bottom to Townhead Farm. (The farmer gave permission to go round either side of farm, where there is least mud in wet weather) and into Brunthwaite Lane. Turn right, then left, over the (way marked) path across Silsden Golf Course turn right into Tomlin Cote Lane. After 200 yards go left over the stile (marked) and over the stile on the right down the field over a 2nd stile, down to Holden Lane. Go left up the hill to a path on the right along the field, over a stile then up the path on the left, leading to a further path going right through the wood. At the end of the path go over the stile, then bear right on path to the Golf Course, go through the gate, and then keep right along the wall side, go down the hill, follow the markers, to pass across the front of the Club House then turn right and down to, and over Booths Canal Bridge. Turn right then follow the tow path back to Silsden. Watch out for Woodpeckers in the wood and Herons & Kingfishers on the canal.
