“DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE”
Start at Wesley Street, go down Kirkgate and turn left at Clog Bridge, then take the first right under the canal, along Hainsworth Road. After passing new road on the right, continue and turn down next right turn, Henhouse Lane, to Fairdale Bungalow. Cross over the yard through the gate, cross straight over the field and through the stile opposite in the hedge. Then go forward round the new store and over six stiles in line over the fields to the field adjacent to Howden House and a stable. Bear right through two further stiles (way marked) and fields, through a further stile in the opposite corner of the field, keeping the hedge on your right to the stile on your right. Go through, and bear left to the stile in the right of the field corner, then go straight on and through the old stone stile, bearing left over a footbridge and two gates to Keighley Road. Cross over the road and go through the stile down to the River Aire turning right on the path over three stiles. At Woodside Gill Beck turn right up to the canal and then right back to Silsden.
