Visiting Garden Center and Cats

I like stopping in at Kennedys Garden Center when Im in the area. Its where i purchase my favorite plant this time of year, the Jasmine. (jasminium)

You can so find them sometimes at Trader Joes. 

Today I wanted to go home with a spider plant. They had some root bound for 50% off. Spider plants are safe for cats meaning they are on the list as non-toxic but the ladies at Kennedys said that they can have a phychadelic effect on cats when they chew the long leaves. Ive never personally experience that in my cats and the do seem to like chewing on them especially when I get the plants looking full and healthy. 

Kennedys has a list of pet safe plants related to the inventory they carry. They shared the list with me and I hope to return again someday to explore this more. 

They were having a group workshop and the place was packed. A lovely lady had a very cool cat themed apron and she let me take a picture of her in it. 

And luci the new cat that roams the grounds was being playful and running all around in the excitement.
